Candle Care

Handle your jars with care, as the containers are very fragile. Do not use if the container is cracked, chipped or broken.

Remember to burn your candle a minimum of 1 hour per inch diameter of the candle to ensure a good melt pool is established. This will also ensure that your candle doesn’t burn a “tunnel” down the middle of the container.

Also remember to keep your wick trimmed to ¼” to control the carbon buildup and to keep the candle from smoking. It is best to do this just before lighting the candle.

To protect your furniture, always place your candle on a surface that is heat resistance such as a coaster or a saucer.

Extinguish your candle when the wax level in the container gets down to the last ¼”. This will ensure your container doesn’t crack from the heat of the flame on the metal clip.

On occasion the wick will fall to the side in the melted wax. To ensure you have a consistent, even burn and that your container doesn’t crack from the heat, use a pencil to re-center the wick. Remember to extinguish your candle prior to replacing the lid.
